It is important to remember that we are the gatekeeper for our patient’s eye care. It is our obligation to be certain all of their eye care needs are managed properly, consistently and completely.

The number of patients being diagnosed with, and having cataract surgery is on the rise as our is population aging. It is imperative to have a process for identifying, educating and referring these patients as needed.

To create consistency in cataract co-management we must utilize patient education materials and tools to better communicate with other professionals.
